Mr. Johnson's
practice is focused on patents. Representative technologies
handled by Mr. Johnson in drafting and prosecuting patent
applications include aerospace devices/systems, computer
disk drives, microelectromechanical devices and related
processing, semiconductor processing software tools,
orthodontic appliances, and extracorporeal blood processing
systems. Work by Mr. Johnson with technology startup
ventures has included assessing the potential patent
protection available to various types of technologies under
consideration for acquisition and subsequent
commercialization, as well as formulating and executing a
strategy to acquire a patent portfolio on startup
technologies.
